DPGA celebrated linguistic brilliance through diverse English language activities. The melodious echoes of poetry recitations filled the auditorium, showcasing students’ artistic expressions. Quick-witted minds engaged in exhilarating extempore competitions, while the spell bee challenged participants with lexical prowess. The events were a testament to the students’ linguistic finesse.

The inter-house poetry recitation competition ‘Poetic Paradigm’ for Grades 1 and 2 witnessed students reciting various thematic poems using innovative props and accurate gestures.

The English Extempore ‘ADHOC’, an amazing oratory competition for students of Grades 6 to 8, assessed their ability to think on their feet by requiring rapid wit and eloquence. Participants chose subjects from a bowl and spoke passionately for one minute with only 30 seconds for planning. The resounding bell signalled the end of their talks. The judges assessed their performance, taking into account confidence, fluency and content. The spirited competition among different houses added fervour to the event.

The Spell Bee competition fosters linguistic precision, enhances vocabulary and cultivates a keen attention to detail. Students not only showcase their spelling acumen but also develop confidence, concentration and a love for language which in turn nurtures effective communication skills among them.
