Independence Day 2023

Independence Day is not only a celebration of sovereignty, but is also a reminder of the unwavering pursuit of development, togetherness, and the collective desires that continue to mould the fate of our dynamic nation. The 77th Independence Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and fervour. The hoisting of the flag signalled the beginning of a long-awaited celebration which later on continued in the auditorium. The event resumed with the lighting of the lamp followed by a speech by the Principal, Mr. Prakash Nair and students in varied languages. Quizzes and songs, after the speeches charmed the audience, propelling the event further into a project by the cultural team – The Unsung Heroes Museum, where students came dressed up as freedom fighters and gave the audience an insight into their lives. The event neared its end as bands with an assortment of instruments melodiously led the audience to the final performance.

The event ended after a formidable football match between the parents pitted against the staff. The match ended with a tight and close score between two opponents of the same calibre.
