MISA Workshop

We at Dr. Pillai Global Academy, New Panvel believe in grooming teachers to empower international standards of quality education time and again, for the holistic development of students and the institute. One such forum was attended by our Kindergarten teachers organized by Members of International Schools’ Association (MISA) on Saturday, 22nd June 2019, hosted by Children’s Academy. The expertise, experience and resource of the forum enforce and complement the excellent administration to create a loop with other international schools.

The forum was initiated by the facilitator, Ms. Sharna Saxena, wherein the foremost aim was the standardisation of pre-primary education. A glimpse of objectives to be achieved with different stages in Cambridge education was given. The fundamental needs to be met in reading and writing skills were emphasised upon. Ms. Sharna stressed on making transition period of pre-primary to primary section smoother to benefit the children in all aspects of their development. The second facilitator, Ms. Yesha Mahesh, spoke about Language Acquisition through a well-presented PPT focusing on enhancing vocabulary and incorporating listening, speaking and writing skills. She briefed about the five important stages of second language acquisition followed by few interesting activities.

Towards the end, the teachers attending the forum were divided in three groups i.e. Nursery, Jr.Kg and Sr. Kg where the teachers from different International schools shared few common concerns and the probable solutions. The meet proved to be highly informative for the development of teachers.
