Trip to Pench National Park, Nagpur

DPGA > Field Trips > Trip to Pench National Park, Nagpur

A trip can refresh anyone’s mind from their hectic daily schedule. So, to refresh everyone’s mind we decided to have a small trip to Pench which was organized by the Adventure group. It was a 5 days trip, that began on a pleasant evening of 10th December, 2016 at 4:30 p.m. Around 6:30 p.m. we reached the station where we had food and left for Nagpur. In the train, we played a few games and ate our dinner.

We reached Nagpur at 8 a.m. We resumed our journey to Pench after a sumptuous breakfast. When we reached Pench we were welcomed by a soft drink and a “tikka”. The hotel was like a historical structure. The very first day itself some of us went for an afternoon safari. So, the group which didn’t go for the afternoon safari went for the night safari.

The next day we all went for the morning safari and clicked photos and returned back to our hotel. We kept ourselves busy with some interesting games after lunch. At 2:30 p.m. the group which went for the night safari went for the afternoon safari and the vice-versa for the other group. During the afternoon safari, we saw deer, monkeys, some birds and tigers. The main purpose for the safari was accomplished. We celebrated our joy by singing songs on the return journey to the hotel. At night, we had a camp fire where we indulged in delicious food. The heat from the campfire seemed to be sucked into the frigid air before ever reaching our frozen hands. We played a game called “Guess the name of the movie through dialogues” and then we went to sleep.

On the third day we headed towards the pottery village for the CAS students to show their creativity in creating pottery items such as “Diwali diyas”. After all this we headed towards the station. We reached the station and bought some oranges and sat boarded the train. The train journey was like never ending. We reached Mumbai the next morning at 8:00 a.m.

The trip was a memorable one and we had a very good time. It was an enriching experience for all of us. We are looking forward to go on even better trips in the future.
