Celebrating Childhood

Children’s Day celebrations focus on nurturing children with love and affection so that they contribute towards the bright future of the country. At Dr. Pillai Global Academy, New Panvel, the day was celebrated on 14th November, 2013 with joy and enthusiasm. The day’s programme consisted of activities for children and a special assembly organized by the teachers for the children. Poster making, fancy dress competition and fun filled games sessions were organized for the student body. The assembly put up by teachers in the disguise of students was appreciated widely by the children. The programmes included skits, dances and a comedy show entitled Radio Tangle. Principal, Mr. Derek Hamilton shared the importance of Children’s Day with the students. Laughter and camaraderie marked the celebrations. The day also served as a day to bring out the talent of many teachers to the fore while they attempted to entertain the students, setting role models for them to emulate.
