Dr. Pillai Global Academy, New Panvel organised International Kids Film Festival of India (IKFFI) at our very own school auditorium from 25th to 28th November, 2019.
To brief about it, LXL stands for Learning + Multiplied Learning = Exponential Learning. LXL is in association with the French Embassy, Culture House of Iran & Children’s Film Festival Seattle who organizes the International Kids Film Festival of India (IKFFI).
LXL focuses on innovative methodologies to make lessons of life through brands School Cinema, Krayon, Mentor and International Kids Film Festive. These movies were not only played in English vernacular, but also various other languages, French, Croatian, Spanish, Hindi, Lingala, Bengali with English subtitles.
Through IKFF, we incorporated international mindedness through multilingualism and cross-culture understanding.
The IKFF gives young aspiring filmmakers across the nation the chance to watch over 100 award winning film screenings from 30 different countries. The students of different grades were grouped together and the films were showcased to them. To name a few – A cup of tea, A day in park, Inside of earth, Two passive verbs, Reboots, Give it back, Storm boy, My grandpa is an alien.
Overall, it was an enriching experience to the students, emphasizing on various learning attributes of international education.
