The 13th June 2015, set the doors open for another new academic year, at Dr. Pillai Global Academy, New Panvel. The orientation programme for parents and students of grades 1 to 12 was held on 13th June 2015. The event started with a prayer and a dance hailing the almighty, followed by an enthusiastic and a rejuvenating welcome song, composed and presented by the teachers of DPGA.
Starting at 9:30 am, the event went on for two hours, keeping the audience abreast about the plans for the next academic year. The school’s principal Ms. Anjna Sahi,set the mood right for the new year, through her well-crafted presentation on” Child-centric education” and “ Holistic development”. Heads of different departments spoke about ways of developing different aspects of “Sarvangik Vikas” or all- round development, (i.e – bahu balam, buddhi balam and atma balam), in students.
The event proceeded with the introduction of the section heads, teachers, admin staff and support staff by the school Coordinator, Ms. Shraddha Sardesai. This was followed by the felicitation of school toppers in Checkpoint and IGCSE examination.
The event culminated with a “Vote of thanks” proposed by Ms. Shraddha Sardesai. In all, the event was a grand success.
