Dr. Pillai Global Academy, New Panvel organised an orientation programme for the parents of Grades 1 to 12 on 8th June, 2019 in the School Auditorium. The event started with an enthusiastic and a rejuvenating welcome song, composed and presented by the Performing Arts Department. This was followed by lighting of the lamp, symbolising a fresh dawn that spreads the light of wisdom and warmth in our hearts.
Our Principal, Ms. Shraddha Sardesai, familiarised the parents as ‘partners in progress’ with the curriculum which emphasises on independent learning, self–initiated projects and experimentation. Dr. Latha Venkataraman, Director, set the mood right for the new year, through her evolutionary perspective on “Child-centric education” and “Holistic development”.
The Coordinators, Section Heads, Heads of Departments and the faculty members were introduced to the parents followed by the introduction of the Administration team and the sub-staff of the school.
The programme concluded with the School Anthem followed by the National Anthem after which parents dispersed to collect books, stationery and uniforms for their wards.
