DPGA > Celebrations > Early Years World Environment Day 2019

“Trees exhale for us so that we can inhale them to stay alive. Can we ever forget that? Let us love trees with every breath we take until we perish.”
― Munia Khan

The Early Years celebrated World Environment Day on 5th July, 2019. The theme this year was ‘Plant for the Planet’.

It was celebrated with the aim to create awareness about protecting our planet and preserving the environment. The Early Years’ teachers performed a mime to help the students understand how pollution takes place and what can we do to control it.

The emphasis this year was on saving, nurturing and planting more trees to curb air pollution. Students were explained about the importance of clean air for healthy existence and how trees can help us to control air pollution.

With the aim to involve parents in students’ learning, they were requested to volunteer to plant a tree for the planet and make a small investment in their ward’s healthy future.
