“It’s a holistic system that we are putting in place,” says Dr. Pillai. “One that denies nothing to the child in its quest to mature into a decisive individual and which inspires a sense of pride in an institution he must belong to for the next ten years.”
True to his vision of developing local actions to create global options, Dr. Pillai has launched the Global Academy within the serene sequestered environment of Panvel, an environment conducive to quiet study and application.
“The focus will be on mentoring,” says Dr. Pillai, “as opposed to book knowledge and cramming. We are seeking to unlock skills in the child and incite a natural curiosity that makes the pursuit of knowledge a matter of choice and not compulsion. Our whole system is engineered to take the stress out of education and to leave behind a well-informed, well-rounded youth, confident of himself and of the world he is about to step into”.
At DPGA Panvel, we believe that co-curricular activities like sports, arts, community service and student leadership go hand-in-hand with academic growth. This balance is crucial for a student’s holistic development.
